About The Dance Corner

Our Philosophy of Dance

At The Dance Corner, our goal is to help young dancers reach their full potential. For some dancers, the objective is to develop dance skills, while others are seeking weekly exercise. Other dancers intend to acquire the confidence to perform on stage, while some are training for a career in dance.

Whatever the aspiration of the student, we strive to teach in a positive and nurturing environment. Whether or not a dance career is planned, students are presented with a curriculum that reflects the standards and traditions of today's dance world. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, with classes offered for the beginner through professional level. Our teachers are dedicated to developing the dancer's self-esteem along with the student's technical and artistic skills.

Our Community of Dancers

Since 2001, The Dance Corner has introduced dance to thousands of children and adults. We have seen many of our students progress from pre-school through college.

The Dance Corner community crosses municipal and school district borders, allowing our dancers to build lasting friendships with like-minded peers. Through these shared experiences with others, our students develop confidence, maturity and independence.

Of course, being part of the community beyond the studio walls is also important. We welcome opportunities to share our students' talents and love of dance by performing for free at area events such as The Renaissance Faire, Founders' Day, fund raising events and numerous shows at the senior centers and nursing homes.

Our Dance Facility

In 2010, we combined our two locations into one address and now offer two side-by-side 2,000-square-foot studios with professional-quality spring dance floors and a state-of-the-art sound system. Our waiting room offers a free WiFi connection, allowing our older students to work on homework between classes and keeping parents connected while they are in our studio. We maintain a HDTV in the waiting room to keep parents and students abreast of the latest dance school and dance company news.
