Why Select The Dance Corner?

What have parents said about us?

Another great year for my girls deserves my extreme gratitude to both Miss Roni and My Amy and all the Dance Corner faculty. I am so grateful for the growth I see in them. Andrea - who seven years ago decided ballet was too boring, too pink, and too "Julia" - now says Tuesdays from five to six PM (ballet class) is her favorite hour of the week. Thanks for your encouragement Miss Roni. Julia, of course, continues her love affair with all things dance. Although a quiet student at school, she amazes me with her confidence learned at The Dance Corner!

Knowing nothing about dance, I walked into The Dance Corner 7 years ago with twin 3 year olds and a toddler. Today, we are proud members of The Dance Corner / WWPDC Family - from set moving and backstage fun during the shows, to the waiting room full of parents that have become friends. Moreover, the small shy children that started out in Story Time and Tiny Tot Ballet, are becoming Awesome, Fantastic, Super, Fabulous (alright, we are biased!) Ballerina, Tapper, Jazz dancers.  ... It really shows that you put your heart and soul into teaching our children. I am so proud to be part of such wonderful studio. Thanks for all you do for the "Smith kids!" They are so confident and proud to be dancers!

As a new parent to The Dance Corner and the WW-P Dance Company, I want to thank you most sincerely for your remarkable work. Being involved with The Nutcracker and The Tale of The Little Mermaid was a tremendous experience for our daughter Paige. As an educator and performer myself (musician), I understand the need for commitment, dedication, respect, and the pursuit of excellence. The way you handle all ages and abilities and bring out the best in the students is absolutely wonderful. It has been a joy to watch your work and to see the developing pride and confidence in the students who have been transformed. Brava!

You create a wonderful environment that is fun and challenging for everyone who is in the Dance Company and we really appreciate everything that you do. We have watched Christy and Elaina gain confidence and grow in each production from the first time when they appeared as Clowns in the Nutcracker - Thank You!

The Dance Corner has changed my son Nicholas for the better, and I say this with all of my heart. Nicholas started dancing at The Dance Corner when he was 3 ½ years old. During this time of his life, Nicholas was very hesitant to be around strangers. Nicholas also had to attend a special education pre-school with a one-to-one aide because he was not able to function in a regular education class. During this time, however, he was able to attend his dance classes at The Dance Corner. His teacher, Miss Amy, was as sweet as could be, and made classes fun, exciting and very positive for Nicholas to the point where he wanted to go every day if possible. I was very nervous when it was recital time, because Nicholas never would watch a production of any kind, anywhere because of his handicaps. Miss Amy did a wonderful job preparing her 3-4 year old students for the recital to give them the self-confidence needed to go on stage and perform in front of hundreds of people. This is not an easy task for such young performers! Nicholas danced and smiled for his first recital, and fell in love with the stage after his first performance. In the years to follow, Nicholas was able to begin attending regular education classes in our district. At the age of 7, Nicholas went on to perform solo jazz dance in competition, where he won first place and was featured in our local newspaper. Nicholas is now 9 years old, a straight "A" student at Village Elementary School, and into his second year on The Dance Corner Competition Team for Tap and Jazz. Nicholas tells me all of the time how much he loves to dance and how much he loves The Dance Corner. The boost in confidence that Nicholas has received since being a student at The Dance Corner has brought many rewards to him personally and scholastically. He has even performed in class for his peers at school and on television. I truly believe that every child needs some type of activity that will boost their self-confidence. For my Nicholas it is dance, and I do not feel that there is a better dance school in our area that can help achieve this.
