Miss Karin has been sharing her genuine love for children and dance with the TDC family for over 15 years. Miss Karin loves all styles but her favorites are Lyrical and Musical Theatre. Karin received her BFA from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. Before becoming a dance instructor, Miss Karin performed as a dancer with VEE Corporation's Sesame Street Live Touring Company, touring nationally and internationally. She also worked as a Dance Captain for Sesame Place where besides dancing in the Park, she taught choreography, conducted rehearsals, and evaluated dancers. Fun fact: While in college, Miss Karin was a contestant on the MTV show Lip Service. Her very first TV appearance was in middle school when she became a regular on Dance Party USA! Local families may recognize Miss Karin from her work as a Youth Program Coordinator for Plainsboro Township. She is currently the Director of Parks & Recreation for Hopewell Township, where she serves all residents in Hopewell Township offering them active and passive recreation programs and events. In her free time, Miss Karin volunteers with St. Ann's School Drama Club in Lawrenceville as the Co-Director and Choreographer for the club, producing 16 different shows and musicals. Miss Karin and her husband Marc have two children, Alyssa (also a TDC dancer) and Matthew. They also have two cats, Kora & Zoey. Miss Karin loves all things Disney, especially Disney Cruises! Her favorite thing to do in the summer is to go to the beach! Miss Karin has a love for children and dance and is passionate about sharing her love with each and every student she works with. She wants all of her students to feel special in class and feel proud of what they can accomplish! “I love how the Dance Corner is a second family to its students and staff. I love that my daughter has had the experience of growing up at the dance studio and has made life long dance friends as I have made lifelong teacher friends. I love that my students are happy about coming to class and look forward to seeing each other every week and miss us when we are closed.”
