Miss Lindsey is the resident ballet specialist in the TDC family. She instructs both recreational and competition team classes in several styles. She has extensive training, receiving her undergraduate training at Rutgers University with degrees in Dance and English. She received her MA in Dance Education from New York University and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Dance at Temple University. Miss Lindsey been training in the Cecchetti method for the past 12 years and was awarded a teacher scholarship by the ECC to attend Cecchetti International Summer School in Michigan. She is an Associate Member, Cecchetti Council of America, East Coast Committee. She is a member of National Dance Education Organization and Dance New Jersey and is certified in Ballet by Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey Safety. Miss Lindsey is a board member for Dance New Jersey, Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey, also serving as their Senior Scholarship Chairwoman Board Secretary and as an examiner for teacher exams. Miss Lindsey also has extensive training in acrobatics and is SafeSport certified by USA Gymnastics. Professional experiences have included NYC performances at Ailey Citigroup Theater and 92nd Street Y/Harkness Dance Center with Deborah Damast and Dancers. Miss Lindsey loves multiple styles of dance, particularly Ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, lyrical, acro and jazz. She instructs in several dance styles at TDC. In her spare time, Miss Lindsey loves to read! She actually considered becoming an English teacher before deciding to teach dance. (Her TDC family is thrilled she made the choice she did!) She also loves drinking coffee, cooking and baking, taking walks, and watching Gilmore Girls. Lindsey is a proud mom of two kids, Jamie and Liza, and a cat named Baby. Lindsey and her husband Matt love taking the kids to the zoo, aquarium, playgrounds, and children's museums, and they love spending time with their extended family and friends. Miss Lindsey appreciates the sense of camaraderie at TDC: “I love the sense of community and the way the dancers and dance families support each other. And I love the teamwork and friendship among the teachers.”
