Amy DeCesare

Miss Amy was the proud owner and director of The Dance Corner until November 2022.  Miss Amy is a graduate of the Professional Children's School in New York City. She has Royal Academy of Dance training through the advanced level. Coincidentally, Miss Amy's first professional job was at the McCarter Theater located in Princeton. She has also toured throughout the US, Canada, Caribbean, Panama, and South America with the International Pavlova Celebration starring Alexander Godunov and Starr Danias. She then became a soloist with Ballet Hispanico of New York. Amy spent four years touring the US, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, Belgium, Holland, Germany, and Italy as a principal dancer in American Ballet Comedy. This show became "Funny Feet," and Amy was one of the eight dancers to enjoy its Off-Broadway run in New York City. Other professional performances include: "7 Brides for 7 Brothers", "South Pacific"," Wizard of Oz", "Hello Dolly", "Music Man", "Guys & Dolls", "A Connecticut Yankee", "Peter Pan", and "Gypsy". Miss Amy has been seen in soap operas, movies, videos (instructional and music), and national commercials playing principal roles. Her union affiliations include: American Federation of Television and Radio, Screen Actors Guild, and Actor's Equity Association.  Outside of the studio, Miss Amy maintains a very active lifestyle playing competitive tennis, pickleball and rock climbing.  Miss Amy also enjoys playing Bridge!  Miss Amy is incredibly proud of the atmosphere she helped to build at TDC.  She has remained committed to offering instruction in a variety of styles to help grow well rounded dancers.  Miss Amy was also the Creative Director of the West Windsor Plainsboro Dance Company, which provides performance opportunities to all dancers in the area.  Miss Amy invites you to visit and see #TheDanceCornerLife in action!
